Humans have a natural desire for survival and immortality. GOD Almighty has also given humans eternal life, which will be realized in the Hereafter. On the other hand, a pious person should be eager to MEET GOD in the Hereafter. In the meantime, how to reconcile the desire for a longer life, even though it is accompanied by obedience in this world, with the desire to MEET GOD in the Hereafter, is considered one of the challenging issues. The purpose of this article is to answer this problem with a rational and narrative method. There are rational and narrative evidences for the two. After stating the basics and prerequisites to answer this question, the author comes to the conclusion that praying for a longer life to serve GOD Almighty is a valuable thing and its lack is considered a defect.

GOD the all-seeing (al-Basir) in all situations is the all-attesting (al- Shahid) of all activities and thoughts of His creature but He has appointed other witnesses to perfect His testimony. Some of those witnesses who have knowledge are allowed intercession also. Therefore, believing their testimony (šahāda) in the earthy life and the life after death has a colorful role. This note tries to present the consequences of believing them in human life and the religious training of people in an analytic method meanwhile identifying the witnesses of Qayamat' or Judgment day. From the view of the noble Quran and with using Zīyārah Amīn Allāh it is cleared that there is a relationship between believing the witnesses and reducing in sin and increasing in good deeds. Consequently, a lot of hope to MEET GOD is resulted by happiness. The results of this hope are: satisfying with fate, thanking GOD and patience. The mentioned cases help to improve individual and social life and toincrease Life expectancy and facility to tolerate difficulties.

Aim of the current study was to investigate the relationship between "attachment styles to GOD" and "Reliance on GOD" in college students. To achieve the stated goal, 494 college students (299 female & 195 male), were selected by means of multistage cluster sampling and the following instruments were administered on them: attachment to GOD Inventory (Rowatt, and Kirkpatrick, 2002), and Approaching Daily Hassles and stressors Questionnaire (Ghobary et al., 2003). Using multiple correlation analysis, results indicated that positive significant correlations existed between dimensions of reliance on GOD and secure attachment style. Also, negative significant correlation was observed between dimensions of reliance on GOD ad anxious or avoidant styles. Moreover, male students showed more avoidant attachment styles whereas females were higher in all dimensions of reliance on GOD and surrender to GOD.

By increasing human knowledge during the history of thought, philosophical and theological approaches to the knowledge of GOD have been changed largely. We can find a lot of arguments for existence of GOD in both Christian and Islamic theologies. In recent ages there have been a lot of discussions among the theologians of these two traditions on subjects such as: the possibility of argument for GOD's existence, the best argument for the existence of GOD, the critiques of the arguments and their replies, the new formulations of the traditional arguments and etc. In this article some of these subjects are compared in Islamic and Christian traditions. Then inspired from a Qur'anic verse, a new argument for GOD's existence is suggested. This is an argument for the existence of GOD from the function of our soul in the field of hopefulness. By hopefulness we mean all wishes, desires, hopes and other attributes of the soul in hoping the good future.
